IDB expands Amazonia Siempre investments to $5 billion

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has increased investments in the Amazonia Siempre program nearly fivefold – from $1 billion in 2023 to about $5 billion by 2025, Juan Pablo Bonilla, IDB representative, stated during the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, more than $1.6 billion has already been mobilized through various credit mechanisms, with the initiative coordinated by around 180 organizations.
