Government mortgage lending surges in Azerbaijan

Mortgage lending through Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF) amounted to AZN 97.5 million in January-March 2021, which is 78.9-% than the same period in 2020, Report informs citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, the loans refinanced by the MCGF rose by 4.2-fold to AZN 58.3 million.
The funds attracted through the issue of securities went up by 2.8-fold to AZN 55 million.
The funds allocated from the state budget to the MCGF remained unchanged at AZN 17.8 million.
