Global sugar prices reach highest level since April last year

Exchange prices for sugar globally have surged by nearly 2%, reaching their highest level since April of last year, Report informs, citing data from ICE Futures.
The price of the October (front-month) sugar futures contract rose by 1.76% compared to the previous close, reaching 18.54 cents per pound - the highest value since April 8, 2025.
Since the beginning of the month, sugar prices have jumped by 26.5%.
