Foreigners increase operations via bank cards in Azerbaijan by 27%

Baku. 27 December. REPORT.AZ/ In January-November 2018, 2,633,500 foreigners from 195 countries visited Azerbaijan, up 6.1% from the previous year, Report informs.

According to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, 31.1% of foreigners came from Russia, 20.9% from Georgia, 10.1% from Turkey, 8.6% from Iran, 3.1% from UAE, 2.7% from Saudi Arabia, 2.4% from Iraq, 2% from Ukraine, 1.5% from Israel, 17.5% from other countries.

The foreigners spent AZN 1,195,500,000 for operations via bank cards in the reporting period, up AZN 252 million or 27% from 2017.

In November 2018, the foreigners spent AZN 76.2 million for operations via bank cards, up 6% by contrast to 2017.
