Deposits in Azerbaijani banks up by 28%

As of April 1, deposits in Azerbaijani banks amounted to 30,508.5 million manats, 4.6% more than a month earlier, 5.1% more than on January 1, 2022, and 28% more than a year ago, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Of this, 58.7% or 17.904 billion manats fell to the share of non-financial organizations, 28.1% more than a year earlier.
During the reporting period, household deposits increased by 27.3% to 10.372 billion manats, and deposits of financial institutions grew by 30.8% to 2.231 billion manats.
There are 26 banks in the country.
