Central Bank of Azerbaijan predicts robust $5 billion+ surplus for 2025

Azerbaijan's Central Bank has forecasted a current account surplus of $5.5 billion for the country's balance of payments in 2025, bank’s Director General, Vugar Ahmadov, said at a recent briefing.
According to Report, Ahmadov emphasized that the overall economic environment remains favorable, supporting macroeconomic stability. He further noted that, in the medium term, the current account surplus could reach $5 billion or even higher.
As of the end of 2024, the current account surplus stood at $4.7 billion.
