Azerbaijani state budget records surplus of $1.68B in 8 months of 2024

Azerbaijan's state budget budget revenues reached 25.223 billion manats ($14.84 billion), while expenditures amounted to 22.362 billion manats ($13.15 billion) during the January-August period of 2024, according to the State Statistical Committee, Report informs.

These figures represent a significant increase compared to the same period last year, with revenues growing by 23.5% and expenditures rising by 8.3%.

Notably, the state budget recorded a substantial surplus of 2.861 billion manats ($1.68 billion) in the first eight months of 2024. This stands in stark contrast to the same period last year, when the budget experienced a deficit of 218.5 million manats ($128.53 million).
