Azerbaijan's spending on pharmaceutical products rises by nearly 24%

Azerbaijan's retail trade network sold pharmaceutical products and medical supplies worth 1.0799 billion manats in January–July 2026, up 23.8% compared with the same period in 2025.
According to Report, citing the State Statistics Committee, spending on pharmaceutical products and medical supplies accounted for 2.8% of total household expenditure on consumer goods.
Overall, retail trade turnover in Azerbaijan amounted to 38.3585 billion manats in the first seven months of 2026. Of this, 20.8439 billion manats accounted for food, beverages and tobacco products, while 17.5146 billion manats were spent on non-food goods. Real retail trade turnover increased by 3.8%.
