Azerbaijan's new AZN50 banknote wins international security award

On November 17-18, at an international conference, organized by the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) in Britain, the new 50-manat banknote of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) scooped the top slot in the “Best Applied Security Product’ category at the Excellence in Holography Awards 2021.

The Rolling Star Lead hologram applied to the banknote and 3D elements, created exclusively in accordance with the banknote design theme (education and the future), were selected as the security protection against the risk of banknote counterfeiting.

Currently, the updated banknote is in circulation in parallel with the old banknote of the same denomination.
