Azerbaijan's insurance market grows by over 6%

In the first half of 2026, 16 insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected approximately 867.4 million manats in premiums (just over $510.2 million), Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, this represents a 6.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, insurance companies paid out nearly 549.7 million manats (just over $323.3 million) in claims, which is 27.2% higher than a year earlier.
Over six months, for every 100 manats ($58.82) of premiums collected, insurers paid out 63.4 manats ($37.29) in claims, compared to 52.9 manats ($31.12) in the same period last year.
