Azerbaijan's insurance market expands by over 7%

In January–July 2026, Azerbaijan's 16 insurance companies collected just over 1.006 billion manats (just over $592 million) in premiums, marking a 7.3% increase compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
During the reporting period, insurance companies paid out more than 671.4 million manats (almost $395 million) in claims, marking a 26.9% year‑on‑year rise.
For every 100 manats ($58.82) in premiums collected, 66.7 manats ($39.24) were paid out in claims, compared to 56.4 manats ($33.18) in the same period of the previous year.
