Azerbaijan records nearly 23% drop in troubled loans

As of March 1, 2024, overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 469.2 million manats (about $276 million), up 3.3% percent from a month earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Also, the amount of troubled loans in the country rose by 7.2% compared to the beginning of the year, while it decreased by 22.6% by contrast to a year earlier.
By the end of February 2024, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.9%, the same as at the end of January 2024.
Meanwhile, at the end of December 2023 and February 2023, the figure stood at 1.8% and 3%, respectively.
