Azerbaijan posts 31% decline in troubled loans

As of December 1, 2023, overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 440.3 million manats ($259 million), down 0.2% from a month earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The amount of problem loans in the country decreased by 25.8% compared to the beginning of the year and by 31.3% in comparison to a year earlier.
By the end of November of this year, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.9%, while this figure was 1.9% at the end of October, 2.9% at the end of last year, and 3.2% at the end of November last year.
