Azerbaijan posts 19% decline in troubled loans

As of September 1, 2023, overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 534.3 million manats ($315.3 million), up 8% from a month earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The amount of problem loans in the country decreased by 10% compared to the beginning of the year, and by 19% in comparison to a year earlier.
By the end of August this year, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 2.4%, while this figure was 2.2% at the end of July, 2.9% at the end of last year, and 3.4% at the end of August last year.
