Azerbaijan announces key budget policy priorities for 2027

Azerbaijan's budget policy in 2027 will focus on several key areas, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said at today"s meeting of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship on the 2027 budget package, Report informs.

"These priorities include supporting sustainable economic growth, maintaining macroeconomic stability, ensuring the full funding of public welfare and social measures, strengthening defense capabilities and security, developing the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions, expanding the adoption of digital technologies and innovation, supporting the development of the education and healthcare sectors, maintaining compliance with the budget rule while preserving fiscal discipline, ensuring targeted and efficient execution of budget expenditures through the state treasury, accelerating the development of the real sector, and other measures," he noted.
