Azerbaijan and Türkiye discuss agricultural insurance system

Azerbaijan and Türkiye discussed issues of improving the agricultural insurance system, Report informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

A delegation headed by the CBA Executive Director Vusal Gurbanov paid a working visit to Türkiye and met with the Chairman of the Turkish Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency, Davut Mentes, as well as other officials.

Meetings of the Azerbaijani delegation were held with the leadership of the Turkish agricultural insurance institute TARSIM and insurance organizations actively participating in the agricultural insurance system, as well as the Turkish Insurance Association and T-Rupt company.

During the meetings, issues of improving the agricultural insurance system, expanding access to agricultural insurance products, and applying more innovative methods of agricultural risk management were discussed. Gurbanov emphasized the importance of a detailed study of Türkiye's experience in the field of agricultural insurance.
