Azerbaijan among world leaders for GDP per capita growth

Baku. 2 Oct. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan ranks second in the list of 11 countries which are leading for the GDP per capita growth, according to a report of the McKinsey Global Institute.
Report news agency informs that McKinsey Global Institute viewed the countries where annual GDP per capita growth exceeded five percent over the past 20 years.
According to McKinsey Global Institute, the real GDP per capita growth averaged 8.2 percent between 1996 and 2016. Myanmar ranked first with an increase of 8.9 percent.
Besides Azerbaijan, the list includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India and other countries. Azerbaijan is leading among the CIS countries.
