Azer Amiraslanov: Necessary to expand classification system for assessing activities of Accounts Chamber

In the context of a significant increase in financial resources, Azerbaijan's Accounts Chamber faces serious challenges, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Azer Amiraslanov said during the discussion of the report on the activities of the Accounts Chamber for the past year, Report informs.

He noted that the key challenges are related to the need for effective management of public finances, strengthening fiscal discipline, ensuring effective control over budget expenditures within state programs and investment projects, as well as maintaining budget sustainability.

The deputy emphasized that the presented report of the Accounts Chamber analyzed 348 types of activities based on 98 indicators: "In the future, the classification of these indicators by quantitative and qualitative criteria, as well as their mutual complementarity for a more accurate and objective assessment, is of particular importance."
