Annual inflation rate exceeds 4% in Azerbaijan

Compared to the same period last year, the consumer prices index (CPI) made up 104.2% in January-May 2021, food products, drinks, and other products - 104.8%, non-food products - 103.8%, and paid services - 103.4%, Report informs.
According to the State Statistical Committee, in May, the consumption prices stood at 100% compared to the previous month, at 104.9% in contrast to May 2020.
In the reporting period, the prices of food products, drinks, and tobacco products were 99.4% against the previous month, 105.2% in contrast with 2020.
The prices of non-food products accounted for 100.6% compared to April 2021, 104.4% compared with May 2020.
