Anar Pashajanov appointed World Bank advisor for Azerbaijan

Anar Pashajanov, a division head at the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, has been appointed Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank, Report informs.
According to the information, during the initial period of his tenure, he will represent Azerbaijan at both the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Most of Pashajanov's professional career has been associated with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. He has held various positions at the bank's Monetary Policy Department since 2013 and in recent years has served as a division head.
Pashajanov also has extensive experience working with international financial institutions. Throughout his career, he has cooperated with the IMF, World Bank and other international partners on macroeconomic policy, the financial sector and technical cooperation.
Pashajanov holds a PhD in economics with a specialization in macroeconomics. He also completed postdoctoral studies in economic development at Michigan State University in the United States under the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program.
