Volume of oil transportation via main pipelines of Azerbaijan increases by almost 2%

Azerbaijan transported 9,664,000 tons of oil via the main pipelines in January-March 2024, up 1.72% from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee.
Some 75.2% of transportation operations were carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The pipeline transported 7,267,200 tons of oil, down 0.3% from the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the volume of Azerbaijani oil via BTC amounted to 5,866,900 tons (80.7%), and transit oil (from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan) made up 1,400,300 tons (19.3%).
