East Coast ports are changing operating hours to accommodate cargo diverted from Baltimore Harbor as salvage crews begin the difficult task of clearing debris from a collapsed bridge, the agency said in a statement.
The Port of Virginia will begin operations an hour earlier on Monday. The Port of New York and New Jersey, which is expecting additional cargo, is working to provide quick access for shipping companies that typically pass through Baltimore.
