Two-thirds of US oil storage tanks fill up

As of April 24, the US oil storages have been filled up by 61%, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said today, Report informs, citing the TASS.
Currently, the storage has 397.9 million barrels of oil. The maximum capacity is 653.5 million barrels.
The storage in Cushing has been filled by 81% (61.3 million barrels). The EIA says that usage indicators of storages in the Gulf of Mexico and the Midwestern US are 60% and 65% (221.6 million barrels and 11.8 million barrels), respectively.
From March 13 to April 24, the US oil reserves increased by 16% or 73.9 million barrels.
