Türkiye and the United Kingdom have signed a memorandum of understanding titled "Energy and Climate Dialogue," Türkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, who is visiting London, said on X, according to Report.
He said the document was signed following negotiations with Ed Miliband, UK's Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero.
"The memorandum provides for cooperation between the two countries in key areas such as clean energy transition, development of low-carbon hydrogen economy, modernization of power grids, regional electrical connections, and small modular reactors," Bayraktar wrote.
He also emphasized that the signing of this agreement is another step for Türkiye towards strengthening its energy security and independence.
