STAR refinery produced 124,058 tons of aviation fuel in August

In August 2024, the STAR oil refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced more than 124,058 tons of aviation fuel - 39,933 tons or 24.3% less compared to August of last year, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

Overall, oil refineries in Türkiye produced more than 644,751 tons of aviation fuel in August, which is 2,880 tons or 0.4% more compared to the same period last year.

STAR was inaugurated on October 19, 2018. The plant began operating at full capacity in September 2019. The plant has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons.
