STAR oil refinery’s diesel fuel output plummets

In October 2024, the STAR oil refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced nearly 51,875 tons of diesel fuel, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
According to the obtained data, this is 530,276 tons or 11.2 times less compared to October 2023.
In total, oil refineries in Türkiye produced 1.012 million tons of diesel fuel in October 2024, marking a decrease of 584,342 tons or 36.6% year-on-year.
STAR was inaugurated on October 19, 2018. The plant began operating at full capacity in September 2019. The facility has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons.
