SOCAR seeks partner for geothermal energy projects

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is seeking a partner for geothermal energy projects, SOCAR Vice President Afgan Isayev said at the Climate Action Week (BCAW2025) in Baku, Report informs.
"We are seeking a shareholder partner with experience in geothermal technologies to explore our existing opportunities," Isayev emphasized.
He noted that cooperation has already been established with the International Geothermal Agency in this area, and the organization is supporting SOCAR in its search for a suitable partner: "We have achieved great success over the past three years. This is the result of our cooperation, and we will continue it. Cooperation expands knowledge exchange and accelerates our decarbonization efforts."
