SOCAR's subsidiary doubles profit

SOCAR Petroleum SA (SOCAR's subsidiary in Romania) made a profit of 10.7 million lei ($2.3 million) in 2023, which is twice as much as in 2022, the company said, Report informs. citing the Romanian platform Termene.ro.
"Last year, the company's turnover also increased by 4.6% to 2.72 billion lei (about $581 million). In 2022, this figure was approximately 2.6 billion lei ($559.3 million)," reads the statement.
In 2023, the average number of employees of SOCAR Petroleum SA was 697, which is 1% more than the previous year.
