SOCAR's STAR Refinery quintuples jet fuel production

In December 2023, the STAR refinery (NEZ), an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced more than 117,936 tons (+95,754 tons, or 5.32 times) of kerosene (aviation fuel) for jet engines, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In total, over 509,935 tons of kerosene for jet engines were produced at oil refineries in Türkiye in December of last year, 207,076 tons, or 68.4%, more than in December 2022.
