SOCAR’s STAR Refinery posts 24% growth in jet fuel production

In August of this year, the STAR refinery (NEZ), an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced more than 163,991 tons (+32,264 tons, or 24.5%) of kerosene (aviation fuel) for jet engines, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
In total, 647,631 tons of kerosene for jet engines were produced from oil refineries in Türkiye in August of this year, 146,278 tons, or 29.2%, more than in August 2022.
