SOCAR's STAR Refinery more than doubles jet fuel production

In January 2024, the STAR refinery (NEZ), an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced more than 103,497 tons of kerosene (aviation fuel) for jet engines, up 58,673 tons, or 2.3 times, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In total, over 386,780 tons of kerosene for jet engines were produced at oil refineries in Türkiye in the reporting period, 15,050 tons, or 4.05%, more than in January 2023.
