SOCAR posts $50.8 billion in revenue for 2025

Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR) generated 86.3 billion manats ($50.8 billion) in revenue and 12.6 billion manats ($7.4 billion) in gross profit in 2025, Report informs, citing the company.

According to SOCAR, global energy markets were affected last year by geopolitical uncertainty, growing concerns over energy security and rising demand for natural gas.

The company said it continued implementing its strategic development priorities, expanding its international asset portfolio, strengthening its position across the energy value chain and improving operational efficiency through cost optimization measures.

SOCAR also continued major investment and business operations in 2025. These included acquiring an 80% stake in the Bahar and Gum-Deniz fields, obtaining a 10% effective participating interest in Israel's Tamar gas field in the Mediterranean, developing new petrochemical and energy projects in Türkiye, making strategic investments in digital infrastructure and petrochemicals, and expanding gas exports and international partnerships.

Operating profit rose 80% year-on-year to 5.2 billion manats ($3.1 billion), while net profit reached approximately 3 billion manats ($1.8 billion).

SOCAR's EBITDA stood at 10.9 billion manats ($6.4 billion) in 2025, up 26% from 2024. The company's revenues were primarily generated from sales of crude oil, petroleum and chemical products, and natural gas.

Cash flow from operating activities also increased significantly, rising 136% during the year.

SOCAR said it paid 3.8 billion manats ($2.2 billion) to the state in 2025 in dividends, state allocations, taxes and social expenditures.

Between 2021 and 2025, the company made total payments of 15.9 billion manats ($9.4 billion) to the state through dividends, state allocations, taxes and social spending. During the same period, the government invested a total of 1.6 billion manats ($941 million) in SOCAR.

SOCAR remains Azerbaijan's strategic energy company, its largest taxpayer and one of the country's largest employers. The company said its tax contributions, investment programs and social projects support economic diversification and human capital development.

SOCAR's consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2025 received an unqualified audit opinion from Ernst & Young Holdings (CIS) B.V.
