The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is actively participating in the 30th anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Baku Energy Forum, organized as part of the Baku Energy Week, of which it is the main partner, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
The International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, held for the first time in 1994 at the initiative of the National Leader of Azerbaijani people, the author of new energy strategy, Heydar Aliyev, has become a platform that has made a significant contribution to energy security, sustainable progress, and effective cooperation in the region and globally over the past years.
At this year's International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, SOCAR is represented with a stand that embodies the slogan "Strengthening a Sustainable Future with a Fair Energy Transition."
The stand displays a photo composition dedicated to the energy policy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. It contains rare photos reflecting the implementation of the National Leader's new oil strategy, the great personality's high attention to the development of our oil and gas industry, and oil workers.
SOCAR, in addition to playing a strategic role in the country's energy sector, also attaches great importance to the training of local specialists and the professional development of its employees. Thanks to various initiatives implemented in this regard, SOCAR makes a significant contribution to the formation of human capital in Azerbaijan by increasing the knowledge and skills of its staff.
These initiatives play a special role in the professional development of employees working at SOCAR and in strengthening national human capital.
As a symbol of this vision, a composition consisting of photos of 30 BHOS students, 30 SOCAR volunteers, 30 Young Talents Program participants and 30 oil workers is being displayed at the SOCAR stand at the 30th anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition. This visual presentation is an expression of the value that SOCAR places on young people and human capital.
The stand also presents historical photos of SOCAR's oil and gas platforms, drilling rigs, plants and terminals.
The stand, which implements the latest innovations, presents information on SOCAR's areas of activity using modern technologies. Here, it is possible to obtain the latest information on the work carried out by SOCAR in the fields of refining, petrochemical industry, exploration, drilling and production in Azerbaijan and abroad, as well as export routes, marketing and trading, human capital, innovation and digitalization.
An “interactive table” installed in the energy transition projects zone provides detailed information on SOCAR’s decarbonization targets, cooperation agreements signed by the company within the framework of COP29, renewable energy and methane emissions inventory and reduction projects.
Also, through thin LED panels installed in the Infinity Room zone of the stand, visual information reflecting SOCAR’s various projects and achieved results is displayed.
SOCAR is also closely involved in the work of the Baku Energy Forum, where major energy projects of the region and issues such as energy security and digitalization are discussed.
