SOCAR intends to increase number of CNG stations to 14 this year

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to increase the number of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations to 14 this year, SOCAR Vice-President for refining David Mammadov told journalists, Report informs.
According to him, SOCAR currently has 9 CNG stations.
The Vice-President said that two CNG stations, one in Baku and other in a region, are planned to be built in 2020: "Additional 6 CNG stations will be built in all main transport directions – North, South and West. The aim is to construct electric and gas filling stations at every 100 km."
CNG sale in Azerbaijan is carried out by SOCAR Petroleum CJSC. CNG price is AZN 0.45 a cubic meter.
