SOCAR discusses geothermal energy and carbon capture with US company

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has reviewed work on geothermal energy and carbon capture and storage with US company DeGolyer and MacNaughton, Report informs, citing SOCAR.

The matters were discussed during a meeting between SOCAR president Rovshan Najaf and DeGolyer and MacNaughton's chairman and CEO John Wallace.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed regarding the successful cooperation between SOCAR and DeGolyer and MacNaughton.

The parties also reviewed work on optimizing field development plans, clarifying reserves, preparing integrated models, and exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
