Saudi oil service company plans to participate in major projects in Azerbaijan

Saudi Arabia's AllRig oil service company intends to expand its presence in Azerbaijan, company's representative Tamer Azar told Report on the sidelines of the IADC Drilling Caspian 2025 conference and exhibition in Baku.

According to Azar, AllRig focuses on the Caspian region, particularly on deepwater drilling rigs, and plans to participate in major projects in Azerbaijan in 2025-2026.

"We are in negotiations with potential customers and participating in tenders for drilling rig audits, inspection of drilling, lifting and rotating equipment, as well as major repairs. We expect to have a clearer picture of our project participation opportunities by the second quarter of this year," Azar said.

He added that as part of the localization strategy, the company prefers to cooperate with local partners. This approach will contribute to strengthening its position in the region and the successful implementation of joint projects.

"We are focused on long-term cooperation with Azerbaijan," Azar emphasized.

AllRig specializes in servicing deepwater platforms, onshore drilling complexes, and other drilling equipment.
