SIBUR, Russia's gas processing and petrochemicals company, is currently engaged in discussions with Azerbaijan regarding the construction of processing facilities in the country, according to Report, which cites Interfax.
Mikhail Karisalov, the head of SIBUR, confirmed the ongoing negotiations but stated that no official documents have been signed with Azerbaijan as of yet. He emphasized the growing global demand for synthetic materials and noted that the interest of former Soviet Union countries in collaborating with SIBUR is largely driven by the company's extensive expertise in the field.
