Production from ACG down by 10% in first quarter of 2023

During the first quarter of 2023, total ACG production was on average about 386,000 barrels per day (b/d) (about 35 million barrels or 5 million tonnes in total), reads the business update of BP Azerbaijan on the results of the first quarter of 2023, Report informs.

During the reporting period, production from the Chirag was 24,100 b/d, from Central Azeri 100,000 b/d, from West Azeri 93,300 b/d, from East Azeri 64,200 b/d, from Deepwater Gunashli 69,400 b/d, and from West Chirag 35,000 b/d.

The volume of production from ACG in the 1st quarter is 10.25% less than the corresponding period of last year.

At the end of the quarter, 139 oil wells were producing, while 42 were used for water and eight for gas injection.

In the first quarter, ACG completed two oil producer and two water injector wells.
