Parviz Shahbazov: UK invested $32B in Azerbaijan's energy sector

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has invested $32 billion in Azerbaijan's energy sector since 1995, the Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, said at the sixth session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on economic cooperation in Baku today, Report informs.

He said that total investments have amounted to $35 billion, and Azerbaijan has invested $2 billion in the United Kingdom: "It mainly exports oil and other equipment to the United Kingdom. Given the improvement of the investment environment in our country, we expect investments to increase further. The United Kingdom is the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan."
