Oil well on fire in western Kazakhstan

An oil well is on fire in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan, Report informs via Kazakh media referring to the press service of JSC "Embamunaigas" (EMG).
"On March 6, 2025, at well N437 of the Western Prorva field of NGDU 'Zhylyoimunaigaz,' after perforation, during the lowering of the tubing string, a gas manifestation occurred, which led to the ejection of the string," the statement says. According to the information, there are no casualties or injuries.
It is noted that EMG's operational headquarters took urgent measures: the area around the well has been cordoned off, and restoration work is underway.
