Oil transit via BTC decreases by 19.4%

Azerbaijan's main oil pipelines transported over 24.566 million tons of oil in January-August 2025, which is 4.8% less year-on-year, Report informs with reference to the country's State Statistics Committee.
A whopping 74.7% of transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline. In January-August, over 18.356 million tons of oil (-5.3% YoY) were pumped through it.
In the reporting period, 84.3% or 15.469 million tons of oil transported via BTC was oil produced in Azerbaijan, while 15.7% or 2.887 million tons was oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
During this period, the volume of Azerbaijani oil transported via BTC decreased by 2.1%, while the transit of oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan dropped by 19.4%.
