Benchmark oil prices rose moderately on January 30 after a noticeable decline the day before, Report informs referring to Interfax.
The price of March futures for Brent on the London ICE Futures exchange amounted to $82.64 per barrel. This is $0.24 (0.29%) higher than at the close of the previous session.
Prices for WTI oil futures for March in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) increased by $0.28 (0.36%) and amounted to $77.06 per barrel.
At the beginning of the last session, oil prices were actively rising on the news of the death of three US soldiers as a result of a drone attack on a US base in Jordan.
