Global oil prices slightly fell in morning trading, while investors assess the multidirectional factors of supply and demand for this raw material in the market, Report informs referring to the auction data.
The price of October futures for Brent crude fell by 0.09% to $87.46 per barrel, September futures for WTI decreased by an equally symbolic 0.07% to $84.34.
The current price levels can be balanced by the prospects of a reduction in supply in the market, on the one hand, and a short-term decrease in demand from the US, where oil reserves are growing.
In addition, earlier Saudi Arabia announced that it was extending an additional reduction in oil production by 1 million barrels per day, which began in July, until September.
