Cooperation with Azerbaijan and SOCAR is very important for Bulgaria, Ivan Ivanov, chairman of the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, told reporters, Report informs.
According to him, Bulgaria needs to ensure the diversification of supplies and achieve healthy competition in the country's gas market.
The head of the commission noted that Bulgaria currently receives 1 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan through the IGB.
"There is an agreement to increase these volumes to 1.2 billion cubic meters. Of course, if necessary, we will find a solution to further increase the volume," Ivan Ivanov said.
