A video conference took place between the co-chairs of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Energy Ministers Parviz Shahbazov, and Nurlan Nogayev.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the meeting focused on the high-level development of ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, friendly and brotherly countries with common ethnic background, and contributions of the Intergovernmental Commission to strengthening it.

They also considered a proposal to have the second meeting of the working groups on Transit of Kazakh oil and oil products through Azerbaijan, as well as the delivery of Kazakh oil products to Azerbaijan and Delivery and transportation of liquefied natural gas of Kazakh origin through the Caspian Sea in September.
The sides also exchanged views on cooperation within OPEC plus and the global oil market's current state. Kazakh Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev said that the measures taken by OPEC and non-OPEC countries played an important role in raising oil to $ 46 per barrel.
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov noted that the decision made within the framework of OPEC plus proves to be the only mechanism in the current situation: "The positive results of the agreement show that we have made the right decision. We continue to strive to achieve 100% of our commitments."
