Kazakhstan's National Company KazMunayGas produced 18 million tons of oil in the first 9 months of this year, which is 3.1% higher than the same period last year, CEO Askhat Khasenov said at a press conference in Astana, Report informs.
He noted that the company's production target for the current year is 19.5 million tons.
"However, we are already ahead by 400,000 tons today. This means that by the end of the year, the total production volume may reach 19.9 million tons," Khasenov clarified.
Oil transportation through the company's pipeline system for 9 months amounted to 63.2 million tons, which is 6.4% higher than the previous year. Khasenov emphasized that during the reporting period, the volume of oil refining at refineries amounted to 10.8 million tons.
KazMunayGas produced 23 million tons of oil in 2023. The volume of oil transportation was 80.4 million tons, and refining made 14.2 million tons.
