Italian companies to be involved in restoration of Karabakh

Minister of Energy, Co-Chair of the Azerbaijani-Italian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Parviz Shahbazov, and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, Co-Chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy Manlio Di Stefano held a meeting through video conferencing.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the sides discussed issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Italy, including cooperation with Italian companies in the restoration of the liberated territories.

During the meeting, the Italian co-chair expressed satisfaction with his recent visit to Baku and meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and other officials, noting that the two countries are conducting fruitful negotiations on the development of cooperation in the political, economic, and energy spheres.

The meeting noted that cooperation with companies from friendly countries to restore the liberated territories was especially encouraged. In this regard, the sides discussed projects in energy infrastructure restoration, urban development, demining, restoration of historical monuments, and cooperation in tourism and agriculture with Italian companies.
