Oil prices rose on July 1 morning - September Brent futures rose in price on the London ICE Futures exchange by $0.38 (0.45%) to $85.38 per barrel, Report informs referring to trading data.
August futures for WTI rose in price in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange NYMEX by $0.36 (0.44) to $81.9 per barrel.
Hurricane season has begun in the Atlantic, and traders are keeping an eye on how it could affect US oil trading. The National Hurricane Center predicts that Hurricane Beryl will produce storm surge and be life-threatening due to its wind speeds.
