Gas prices in Europe fall over 6%

Exchange prices for gas in Europe fell below $1,650 per 1,000 cubic meters at the opening of trading on October 4 for the first time since July 21, Report informs referring to the London Stock Exchange ICE.
Futures contracts on the TTF index at the opening traded at $1,618 per 1,000 cubic meters (-6.2%).
The average settlement price of the nearest futures in September fell to $2,093 (-14.6%). In August, the price slightly exceeded $2,450 (+35.7%), which was a record for the entire history of the operation of gas hubs in Europe - since 1996.
