France on possible introduction of EU embargo on Russian gas

French Government Spokesman Gabriel Attal does not rule out the possibility of imposing an embargo on Russian gas and oil supplies to the EU countries, Report informs, citing France Info TV channel.

“There is this possibility. We have always said that we are ready to go as far in the bailouts as possible,” Attal said, answering whether the EU could impose an embargo on gas and oil supplies from Russia.

Secretary of State at the French Foreign Ministry Clément Beaune said earlier that the EU countries and the United States intend to toughen anti-Russian sanctions in the coming days.
